What is 21CS?

Starting your career can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re leaving school or college and aren’t sure what’s next. Through the 21CS Employability Programme (21CS) we make that transition easier, more exciting, and tailored to young people. Tried and tested over the last 9 years, 21CS is designed for young Londoners aged 16 to 30. We know every young person is different, so we provide flexible, personalised support to help you succeed.

Youth unemployment is rising, and many young people struggle to access meaningful work experiences. For those from disadvantaged backgrounds or with additional needs, the barriers are even higher. Our programme is inclusive of neurodiverse young people and those who may experience barriers linked to social or communication difficulties. At 21CS, we remove these barriers by offering smaller group sessions, one-to-one mentoring, and a calm, structured environment that helps every participant thrive.

Career Pathways

At 21CS, we’ve designed our employability programme to tackle youth unemployment head‑on by aligning the needs of today’s employers with high‑quality technical and vocational education and training.

Our approach is rooted in understanding the real skills gaps across local industries and equipping young people with the practical, workplace‑ready competencies that employers are actively seeking.
By bridging this divide, we not only enhance employment prospects for our learners but also support businesses in building a reliable, skilled workforce. This employer‑driven model allows us to deliver training that is relevant, impactful, and directly connected to sustainable career opportunities.

Success Story

"A great pathway into IT"

“The service desk experience, technical bootcamps and certifications helped me build a strong foundation, while working on real-world projects gave me valuable hands-on experience.

I also developed important soft skills, including communication, teamwork and problem-solving.

My advice to new students would be to get involved in as many projects as possible, gain hands-on experience and make the most of every opportunity.”
